Children

About 40 children came to the center today for the first day of Summer Camp. They were, of course, precious!! Like children every-where, they have tons of energy! They drew pictures, made Spongebob masks, and played games outside. I taught the older ones one of the games that my students love to play, called Set.

The most exciting thing about the day was the arrival of playground equipment!! A big truck delivered swing sets, sliding boards, and more! We can't wait to get it assembled!! I look forward to sending more news about the kids here in Bethlehem!

I think we always experience another culture, and the universality of God's love, through the children. Glad you are there to share with them. We're keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

It's awesome that you are working with kids in Bethlehem at the same time we have over 280 kids in VBS. The word of today was love and yesterday was trust. If we can teach all of these children to trust in God's love, hopefully they can bring about peace in the world.

I know these kids see God's love in your eyes.

Prayers and Blessings to you.

Laura, we miss you at the Hope House, but sounds like a great experience. We had a provocative Sunday last week with the former General Assembly moderator, formerly of Palestine and obviously a Christian pastor. He described the oppressive nature of the Israeli government, particularly the problem of travel, travel permits and check-points. What has been your experience as you move about the area with Palestinian friends? George Warren

Laura, It is so amazing that you are showing Christ's love in Bethlehem. I'll keep on praying that you will be a blessing to those you are with and that they will be a blessing to you.
